A few things to know:
- There are 66 books in the Bible. These refer to specific sections in the Bible many times authored by separate persons. For example, Genesis, Exodus, Matthew, Mark, etc.
- The Bible is separated into the Old and New Testaments.
- The Old Testament covers from creation until right before Jesus' time on the earth and the New Testament covers Jesus' birth until John's book of Revelation.
- Books of the Law of Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy
- History Books (About God's chosen people of Israel): Joshua, Judges, RUth, 1&2 Samuel, 1&2 Kings, 1&2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther
- Books of Wisdom: Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon
